Day 02: Beijing
This exciting day’s trip starts with a pre-tour introductory talk at the hotel. You will meet all the other members of your group that come from different countries. Now you are a team. The highlight of this morning is the grandiose Forbidden City. Before that, we will have a short stop at Tiananmen Square for about 30 minutes. It is the world’s largest city center square and also the heart of Beijing. The surrounding buildings that can be the background for pictures are the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People and the Grand National Theatre. Then we head for the nearby Forbidden City on foot. The Forbidden City is the palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, where once lived 24 emperors. It is now the largest and most complete ancient architectural complex in wood in the world. You will have at least 2 hours to appreciate this incomparable ancient architecture masterpiece. Lunch will be served at a very nice local restaurant rather than a normal tourist restaurant. It is a la carte style and you can order what you want to eat within certain budget limitations. In this way, clients can taste real authentic Chinese food. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. It is the site for emperors to hold the Heaven Worshipping Ceremony. This was a very important event since the Han Dynasty, as all emperors believed they were the sons of Heaven. For the evening, we have prepared the relaxing and lively Chinese Kung Fu Show for you at the Red Theatre. (B+L)
Day 03: Beijing
Have a big breakfast at the hotel this morning to store energy for today’s activity. We drive to Badaling Great Wall which is 75 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. Being the most representative part of the Ming Great Wall, and also the first section open to travelers, Badaling is famous around the world for its magnificent landscape, mature supporting facilities, profound culture and historical connotation. As a Chinese saying goes, “One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero”. Then you will visit a jade factory. The nearby shopping site restaurants offer low quality food, so we do not arrange lunch today. You may take some fast food for your lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the Sacred Way. Walking from the dolmen, you will see 36 stone sculptures along the way: 24 animals like lions, kylin, camel etc and 12 human. This vivid sculptural group has great cultural and artistic value. After your visit, transfer back to the hotel. You will have a stopover at the Bird's Nest to take some pictures from a distance. (B)
Day 04: Beijing - Xian

There are thousands of Hutongs in Beijing and you will experience one classic alley by rickshaw. The visit to a quadrangle courtyard is another highlight during the Hutong tour. Lunch is again served at a fancy local restaurant of an a la carte style. Later in the afternoon, our guide will see you off at the airport for your flight to Xian. Day 07: Lhasa

Visit Norbulingka Park in the morning. Located in the western suburb of Lhasa, the park is the summer palace for the Dalai Lama in successive dynasties. The elegant garden was built in the 18th century. It was also the place where the Dalai Lama would deal with political affairs and hold religious activities. Covering an area of 46 hectares, now it is an ideal place for people to worship, relax and enjoy palace architecture in the Tibetan Style. A set-menu lunch is arranged at a nice local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the Sera Monastery, which is a typical shamanism monastery. This monastery has a rich collection of precious culture relics and art works such as Buddhist sutras, figure of Buddha, mafors, gold and silver ware etc. On every weekday afternoon, the monks debate ardently in the yard. It is a kind of discussion or sharing of Buddhist knowledge. Then we pay a visit to a local Tibetan family. (B+L)

Day 08: Lhasa

Standing solemnly on the Red Mountain of Lhasa, the Potala Palace is a large-scale architectural complex in stone and wood. It is the symbol of Lhasa and is called “the Pearl on the roof of the World”. The sacred Potala Palace has unshakable status among Tibetan people. For those who have entered the Potala Palace, they will regard it as a reward and gift of life. After lunch, visit the Jokhang Temple, a Gyangjian Tangka Art Store and Barkhor Street. The Jokhang Temple is the spiritual center of Tibet. For most Tibetans, its importance is no lower than Potala Palace. The most impressive and touching thing you will see here is the religious pilgrimage of believers prostrating themselves along the street. Walking along Barkhor Street, you may buy some small gifts for your families or friends. Then visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital, where you will get a lecture from a professor on some basic knowledge of Tibetan medical science. (B+L)
