Ancient Cities with Panda

After arrival in Beijing and going through the luggage claiming area, you will find our guide waiting for you outside the customs of capital airport. Then you will be transferred to the luxury 4-star Holiday Inn Central Plaza Hotel and our guide will help you with the check in process. The rest of your day is free, and you may have a rest at the hotel or explore the neighborhood by yourselves.

After breakfast, meet the other members of your group during the pre-tour briefing in the hotel. Today’s city tour leads you through the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. An a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a local popular restaurant. Tiananmen Square is located at the center of Beijing City and the biggest city square in the world. Surrounded by the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall, the square is the place where the national flag raising ceremony is held every morning. Tonight you will enjoy the quintessence of Chinese culture, Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre. (B+L)

Today you will visit the Great Wall, one of the eight world wonders. mWe will take you to the Badaling section as it is the most well-preserved and equipped part. You will have 2 hours to hike on the Great Wall and the guide will wait for you at the foot of it. Then visit a jade factory. The lunch will be on your side, for the food at the spot may not be up to your taste. Just have a big breakfast in the hotel and get some snacks in case. In the afternoon, we will take you to visit the Sacred Way. Drive back to downtown area and you will have a chance to view the outlook of the Bird's Nest and take a photo for memory. (B)

The day begins with the visit to the Summer Palace, a fantastic royal garden which was built based on the enchanting Kunming Lake and the grand Longevity Hill about 250 years ago. Then visit a pearl store. You will also enjoy the old Beijing culture and local customs by visiting narrow alleys, also called Hutongs. You may take a special rickshaw riding through various Hutongs and enjoy the prosperous street view with dazzling goods on sale. Through a visit to the local family, you will get a further understanding of the old Beijing characteristics. At noon, we will arrange a rich a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a popular local restaurant for you. In the afternoon, take a flight to your next travel destination, Xi'an. The local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to check in at the 5-star Sheraton Hotel in downtown. (B+L)

The morning excursion takes you to the Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses where over 7,000 life-size warriors and horses have guarded the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang for the last 2,000 years. You will be shocked that how lifelike the figures are and each of them even has different hair styles, expression and postures. Visit a pottery-making store next. Then you will have a special homely cooked lunch at a local people's home (valued at CNY100.00 per person and included in our price). In the afternoon, explore the Small Wild Goose Pagoda which has a history that can be traced back to 652 AD in Tang Dynasty. Tonight, we will arrange the local specialty Dumpling Banquet, followed by an amusement of Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show Performance. (B+L+D)

The ancient City Wall is your first stop of today's tour, and the wall used to be the most powerful defensive system in the war time. Climbing up the wall, you will perceive the charms of ancient Xian. We will continue our journey to the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, where you will acquire a fruitful lesson on the history and civilization. At lunch time, you will be treated with a big a la carte meal (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) in a local fancy restaurant. Then proceed to the Great Mosque, which is built in 724. After several times’ restoration and alteration, the mosque is still in service for regular religious gathering. You will be left some leisure time in the market for a simple shopping, or you can just wander around for further exploration. (B+L)

Today, you will take a morning flight to Chengdu. Upon your arrival, our guide will pick up you in the airport and help you to check into the 4-star Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza. The rest time of the day is left to be free for you. Put down your luggage, you can go out to have a simple lunch on your own. Around your hotel, there are a lot of local cuisine restaurants, where you can have a try. Also, take the subway line 2 near your hotel to the Tianfu Sqaure, where you can find a lot of restaurants available. (B)

The Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the highlight of Chengdu tour. You will visit the base in the early morning, for it happens to be the panda’s most active moment for breakfast. Apart from recording the panda's daily life with camera, you can also have a panda-holding experience and taking photos. Surely, you need to pay an extra fee at least CNY 2,000 in cash to the base as a premise. After that, we will continue our journey to the Jinsha Site Museum, which reflects the social features of ancient Shang and Zhou dynasties as well as the riverside civilization. You can also view the 4D Cinema 'Dream Back to Jinsha' to get a better understanding of this city. At last, you will be given some time to explore the Broad and Narrow Alleys, where you can trace the history marks and appreciate the native's leisure lifestyle. (B)

You are required to check out of the hotel by 12:00. Then you need to get to the airport by yourself for the homebound flight.
