Ask Question

Situated on the beautiful Shenzhen Bay, Splendid China is the largest miniature scenery park with richest content in the world. It is divided into two main sections: a Scenic Area and a Serving Center. The Scenic Area consists of 82 scenic spots distributed according to their actual position on the land of China and at a scale of 1:15 to the real objects. It boasts that visitors here can enjoy over 5,000 years of Chinese history and expereince the charm and beauty of the whole country in only one day.

Just as its name implies, Splendid China is just a huge map of China, on which are presented the most splendid attractions of China. These attractions are divided into three categories: ancient architectures, famous landscapes, folk houses and customs. There are 'World Wonders'- the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, and a great number of top attractions in China such as Zhaozhou Bridge (the most ancient stone arch bridge), the Ancient Observatory (the most ancient observatory), and the Forbidden City (the largest palace). There are also the solemn Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor, the magnificent Confucian Temple, the Temple of Heaven, etc. As for those who like landscapes, there is the picturesque Li River, West Lake in Hangzhou, Suzhou traditional gardens, etc.

In addition, you can experience the ceremony of the ancient Chinese emperor's worship of heaven, the celebration of the Emperor Guangxu's (1871 - 1908) wedding, the fiesta in the Confucius Temple and the wedding and funeral customs among the people. In the Hall of Chime Bells, you will see the performance on chime bells played by performers wearing historical costumes.

Displaying the essence of the architecture and landscape art of Suzhou, the Serving Center named Suzhou Street maintains the features of traditional Chinese commercial streets. Here visitors may taste main Chinese cuisines such as Beijing, Sichuan and Cantonese as well as local snacks of the whole country. There are also rare overall-view circular-screen movies of the world and various handcrafts, antiques, tonic medicines and other distinctive souvenirs for visitors to select and purchase.
