Introduction: Connecting downtown Beijing and Changping New Town, Beijing Subway Changping line is a south-north express line, with a high speed of 80 km (49.7 miles) per hour because of the long distance between stations. It's scheduled to start from the Ming Tombs in the north, via Innovation Base, Life Science Park and Sci-tech Park, to the Xi'erqi Station of Subway Line 13 in the south. The first phase of this line was opened to traffic at the end of December, 2010, with 7 stations. The distance from Xi'erqi to Life Science Park is 5.6 km (3.5 miles), which is the longest among that of the subway station in Beijing.
