Introduction: Basically located on the central axis of Beijing City, Beijing Subway Line 8, together with Beijing subway line 4 to its west and Beijing subway line 5 to its east, are schemed to be the 'Three Vertical Axis' of Beijing subway network. Its first phase from Beitucheng to the South Gate of Forest Park was opened in Oct., 2008 for traffic owing to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. On Dec. 31, 2011, its second phase from the South Gate of Forest Park to Huilongguan was also opened. On December 2012, the southern section (Guloudajie and Anhuaqiao) was put into operation.
