Beijing Nanyuan Airport is located in the southern suburbs of the city, only 3 km (1.86 miles) from the South 4th Ring Road and 13 km (8.08 miles) from Tiananmen Square, in downtown Beijing. In 2007, the reconstruction of the airport was finished and the airport was put into use as a civil airport the same year. The newly built terminal building is about 100,00 square meters (119,59 square yards), in which the service counters for tickets, check-in, and security check are within one hundred meters of each other, so saving more time for passengers. There are also Vending Machines, an ATM, and a Luggage Packing Machine for passengers' convenience.
China United Airlines is the only airline operating at the airport. Now the airline has opened flight routes to major domestic cities such as Lianyungang, Zhangjiajie, Baotou, Guangzhou, Changsha, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Jingdezhen, Shenyang, Dalian, Harbin, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hohhot, Linyi, Yulin, Daqing, Fuyang, Foshan, Fuzhou, Quzhou, Qiqihar, Hailar, Erdos, Manchuria, Jiamusi, and Urumqi. Since Nanyuan airport only handles some domestic flight routes, the airport is not as busy as the Beijing Capital International Airport, so the flights from Nanyuan Airport are always very punctual, and it will not be very crowded in the airport. If you have booked an electronic air ticket on the ticket booking website of China United Airlines, but you cannot take or miss the flight, you can cancel your ticket on the same website within one year. The fare will be transferred to the bank account from which you bought the ticket; a handling fee will be charged. If, through the airline's fault, passengers cannot take the flight, through the delay of the airplane or the cancellation of the flight, the handling fee will not be charged. The handling fee will be charged according to the following standards:

Standby Air Ticket Purchase Procedures: 1. Check if there are any standby seats before you go to the airport.
2. Fill in the standby air ticket application form at the ticket counter of the airport.
3. Check at the ticket counter whether your application has been accepted 30 minutes before the airplane takes off.
4. Show your valid ID card to the ticket agent to be checked.
5. Pay for the ticket.

Passengers with the same day's air ticket can take the free shuttle bus from Xidan Civil Aviation Mansion to Nanyuan Airport; Passengers traveling from Harbin, Dalian and Wuxi to Nanyuan Airport can also take the free shuttle bus to downtown Beijing (by showing the same day's recording card).

Bus Route:
1. The nearest bus stop is Xinhualu Nankou Bus Stop (South End of Xinhua Road Bus Stop). Passengers can take Buses No. 610, 369, 353, 953, Xiao 13, Xiao 62, and Yuntong 115 to the stop and walk to the airport. The operating hours of these buses is from 5:00 to 21:35.
2. Sanyingmen Bus Stop is not far from Xinhuanlu Nankou Bus Stop; passengers can get the Sanyingmen Bus Stop first, and then transfer to Xinhualu Nankou Bus Stop. There are many bus routes at Sanyingmen Bus Stop, such as Buses No. 742, 729, 324, 366, 610, 627, 736, 526, 927, 954, 501, 504, and 997.
3. Bus No. 501 departs from Caoqiao, via Sanyingmen and Jiaomen North Road, and stops at the terminal building of Nanyuan Airport.
