Xian Xianyang International Airport

 Xian Xianyang International Airport (IATA Code: XIY) is 47 km (about 29 miles) northwest of downtown Xian and 13 km (about 8 miles) northeast of Xianyang City. It covers an area of 564 hectares (1493.7 acres), and is comprised of one runway, a taxiway, two terminal buildings, and 59 parking positions. There are all together 129 domestic air routes to 70 cities and 25 international air routes to 18 cities and areas. Passengers can get to other central or western Chinese cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Xining and Yinchuan from Xianyang International Airport within one hour, and reach any Chinese provincial capital or important tourist city within three hours. Notice: The newly completed Terminal Building 3 has been put into use on May 3rd, 2012, and Terminal Building 1 was closed at the same time. The check-in counters of China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and China United Airlines are moved to Terminal Building 3, and that of the other airlines are in Terminal Buidling 2. In addition, parking lots for long-distance buses, airport shuttle buses and taxies are also moved to the General Transportation Center (GTC) outside T3. The distance between T2 and T3 is 300 meters, and a free shuttle bus runs betwen the two terminals. Passengers can take the shultte bus near Gate 4 on the 2nd floor of T2 and the service center on the 2nd floor of T3.   Running hours of the shuttle: 08:00 - 19:30 (April to October); 08:30 - 19:00 (November to March)

An airport hotel at the airport provides special hour-rate rooms for passenger's convenience. 
Restaurants, a cafeteria, and a coffee house provide buffet dinner, fast food and drinks. Passengers can find them at the east end of the second floor in T2, the east end of the first floor in the Waiting Hall, the west end of the International Departure Hall in the Waiting Hall, the Transferring Hall in the Waiting Hall, and in T3. 

 Foreign Currency Exchange: 
There is a foreign currency exchange center in Terminal Building 2. A service fee of CNY 58 is charged for each exchange of any kinds of currency.
