Introduction: Scheduled to be a transportation artery conveying the traffic of the City to the north and south, the Subway Line 2 links up many large passenger distribution centers in Xian, including Xian North Railway Station, Administration Center, Xian Economic Technological Development Zone, Bell Tower, Xiaozhai, TV Tower and Weiqu. It meets with Xian-Tongchuan, Xian-Yanan expressways and National Highway 201 in the north, and joins up with Xian-Ankang Expressway in the south, serving as an external thoroughfare of the city. At present, the majority part of the 1st phase of the Subway Line 2, from the North Railway Station to Exhibition Center, has been put into trial operation since Sep. 16, 2011. 

 Ticket Fare: CNY2 for 1~6 stops; CNY3 for 7~10 stops; CNY4 for 11~16 stops, and CNY5 for 17 or more stops. With Chang'an Tong Transportation Card, passengers can enjoy 10% discounts. Students Chang'an Tong Card holders can enjoy 50% discount. Children lower than 1.3 meters (4.3 feet) are exempt from tickets to take the subway.
