Upon your flight arrives at Xian Airport, our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area. After having a car ride of 33 miles, you will get to the well-appointed hotel. Your schedule today starts with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum, which is about 36 miles away in the east of the city. Being the most significant archeological discovery of the 20th century in China, the Terracotta Warriors features life-sized sculptures of warriors and horses in thousands of facial expressions and postures has won the reputation as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The whole underground army bears silent witness to the grand power of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), who made colossal endeavors to build an empire for his afterlife. You will have an a la carte lunch at a well selected restaurant.  Then you will be guided to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda inside the Da Ci'en Temple. With a history of more than 1300 years, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a seven stories attic-styled ancient Buddhist pagoda, is regarded as the landmark of the old-line Xian. Following is a visit to the Provincial History Museum. It houses over 370,000 pieces of cultural and historical relics with time spanning more than 100 million years from the simple stone implements that human used during the ancient times down to the various items involved in people's social life about 1840 years ago. Among all the collections, the peerless Bronze Ware Crafts of Shang and Zhou Dynasties, diverse Pottery Figurines of different dynasties, unique Gold and Silver Works of Hang and Tang dynasties and unequaled mural paintings of Tang dynasty tremendously intrigue every tourist. The first stop of the morning sightseeing schedule is the City Wall, which was set up on the basis of Tang royal city at the beginning of Ming Dynasty. For over 600 years, the present City Wall has been encincturing the inner city strong and whole. The next stop is the Great Mosque, which is one of the most grandiose and best-preserved mosques in China. The complex of buildings perfectly integrates the construction style of Islamic and Chinese cultures. Remarkably, the Great Mosque is an important Muslim place in everyday use for worship by the locals. You will also visit a local Family, where you will have lunch there to taste the authentic home cooked Chinese dishes.
