Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai

Shanghai is one of the biggest cities in China and also a municipality directly under the Central Government. It is the epitome of Chinese modern history and has developed its own characteristic which combines the traditional China and the modern metropolis perfectly. Our 3-day trip offers a brief visit of this city and local people’s life. Upon arrival at the airport, you will find our guide outside the baggage claim area holding a banner with your name on it. Then private transfer takes you to the pre-booked hotel and the guide will help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is free for you. You may have a rest at the hotel or look around by yourself. Your guide will be happy to offer advice and help.

Day 02: Shanghai
The city tour starts with the Shanghai Museum which possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. The architectural form of the structure itself is unique and symbolistic. By the round top and the square base, it looks like a bronze and indicates the ancient Chinese philosophy. There are eleven galleries and three special temporary exhibition halls in the museum where you can see Chinese ancient furniture, painting, sculpture, calligraphy, jade, ceramics, coin, seal, bronze and minority nationalities’ art. Then we will take you to the Yuyuan Garden which was built more than 400 years ago. It is located in the old city area and adjacent to the City God Temple and the Yuyuan department store, so the area is always popular and bustling. After an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant, you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. Along the way, you will see the most essential scenery which includes the grand buildings of different styles; the lofty Yangtze River Bridges, the oceangoing ships and the fantastic view of three rivers with distinct colors conflate at the Yangtze River estuary. The Bund by the Huangpu River used to be the concession of Great Britain and France for over a hundred years, and now is the busiest part where the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium are located. You will also visit an old street in Shanghai. (B+L)
