Minority Culture Exploration

As the Chinese saying, He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man. So today's first aim is the Great Wall. You will be transferred to the suburban Beijing and walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling section. After the fatigue costs, we will arrange a decent and sufficient lunch in a famous Sichuan food restaurant nearby. In the afternoon, continue to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. This unique necropolis is a must-see for anyone wanting to get an understanding of the role of funeral rituals of Chinese culture. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance. (B+L)

You will visit the famous royal garden, Summer Palace. It has the total acreage more than 290 Hectare. The most spectacular is that three fourth of the Summer Palace is covered by Lake. You will be entranced with the beauty of the landscape. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a well-select restaurant at noon. Then a classic Hutong tour passing Shichahai, Yinding Bridge, Yandaixiejie, Drum tower or Bell tower is arranged for you to feel the original old Beijing Culture. Today you will get excited as you will visit one of the World Eight Wonder - the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is accidentally discovered by a local farmer who is digging a well in 1974. Now it becomes a large army museum as it presents not only the terracotta soldiers, but also all kinds of weapons in Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 206 BC). After having an a la carte lunch at a famous local hotel, you will visit the well-known Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Da Ci'en Temple, where the hierarch Xuanzang translated the sutras taken from Indian by him over 1630 years ago. Visit the Qingyan Old Town. It is a small ancient town with only 3 square kilometers. Most of the houses and buildings are in the Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture style. Morning explore Tang'an Dong Village noted as the first ecological museum of Dong people. It is one of the joint venture items for cultural construction with Norway. Then drive to Sanjiang. Continue to visit the Yao People's Village in Longsheng. Late afternoon, transfer to Guilin. The transfer journey time may last for 3 hours. You can enjoy the attractive sceneries along the way. Today you will be excited to take the half day Li River Cruise from Guilin Zhujiang Port to Yangshuo. You can enjoy the beautiful lake view along the cruise and lunch is also served in the cruise ship, but we suggest you have a big breakfast at the hotel before the cruise as the lunch in the cruise ship can not be expected too much. Upon your arrival in Yangshuo, you can take a bicycle to the countryside. Or we can transfer you there by car.  And a local villager's home visit will be arranged. The whole day Yangshuo tour will be concluded by transferring back to Guilin. (B+L)

Have a day tour in Guilin by visiting the natural art palace, Reed Flute Cave, where you can not only visit the grottos, but also enjoy the rurality. Continue to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. As its name indicates, the hill is like a huge elephant drinking the water from the Li River. The last stop in Guilin is the Seven Star Park, which is the largest comprehensive park in Guilin. There you can find many local people and get to know their daily life. Then you will be proceed to the airport and fly to Shanghai. Our guide will pick you up and help you to check in at the hotel. Begin the Shanghai city tour with the Shanghai Museum.
