Private transfer will take you from and to your hotel. Morning is scheduled for you to visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, which is the world's largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex and where 24 emperors had dealt with political affairs and lived with their families. Lunch will feature on an a la carte meal for your individual preference at a superb restaurant. Then head to the Summer Palace, the royal garden built some 200 years ago in the Qing Dynasty. It is a representative work of China's garden construction. Before going back to hotel, drop by a pearl or silk factory. (L)

BJ03-02: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - A la carte lunch - Badaling Great Wall

Pick up from your hotel. The highlight attractions that you will visit this morning include Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. An a la carte lunch of authentic Chinese food will be served for you at a famous restaurant. In the afternoon, drop by a Jade factory and then you will visit the grand Badaling Great Wall. Crouching over the rolling mountains some 60 km (37 miles) northwest of Beijing, Badaling Great Wall is the best-preserved section of China Great Wall which was constructed about 600 years ago. Standing on it, you will be shocked by the majestic walls, solid beacon towers and splendid landscape. (L)

BJ03-03: Summer Palace (Temple of Heaven) - A la carte lunch - Badaling Great Wall

Meet at your hotel. The whole day will be devoted to visit the Summer Palace (alternatively the Temple of Heaven), a pearl or jade factory and Badaling Great Wall. As an imperial garden and summer resort of the royal families, the Summer Palace mainly focuses on the harmonious combination of charming natural scenery and buildings. About 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level, the Badaling Great Wall goes ups and downs along the roiling mountains, like a soaring dragon. Lunch will be arranged at a decent restaurant with an a la care menu. (L)

BJ03-04: Mutianyu Great Wall - Summer Palace (Temple of Heaven)

Your one day travel will begin with a transfer to Mutianyu Great Wall. Being different from Badaling section, it is much gentler and more elegant in manner. It is less with travelers but is the same splendid and gorgeous as Badaling. You will take the cable car up and down to the wall for sightseeing. Enjoy your lunch at a featured restaurant near the wall. Afterwards, you will return to the city area to visit the Summer Palace (alternatively the Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world.) and a pearl or silk factory.
