China Tour Reviews

Hi, Sophie

Just to say a very big thank you for all your help in arranging our excellent China tour. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The guides and the drivers are excellent. The people and the places we visited are amazing. We wish we could go back soon.

Once again, THANK YOU

Dear Wendy,

Just a note to record our appreciation and gratitude for your efforts to make our holiday relaxing and rejuvenating.

Wendy, you planned it for us in such a way that we got to see the marvels of ancient architecture, learn much about the history of the people and their rulers, feel the culture in real life a well as see it enacted in 2 grand theatre shows.

The hotels were comfortable and courteous. The food was excellent.

Transportation was punctual; polite drivers and friendly guides made it a stress free vacation.

China was a learning tour where you see, feel and reflect on the mystique and the modern.

I really wonder how you managed to pack in so much luxury and sightseeing and entertainment for the amount of money we paid.

Shopping wasn't too much to write about except for local souvenirs. I guess goods are available globally.

It was memorable for us, as my wife celebrated her 60th birthday.

Thank you.

Hello,

All in all I am very satisfied with the tour, even if it was a bit tiring but I attribute this to the hot weather. I particularly liked Sara who was our guide in Beijing, she is herself and has a serious and funny personality that enliven the trip and this helped us go thru the day-filled schedule, with the heat and all the walking.

I suggest that a one-hour free time for bazaar shopping be included in the Great Wall. Not shopping at the stores in the Great Wall site but the bazaar one passes on the way down to the bus parking lot. Though we visited jade and another shop in Beijing, the items there were not for things we would normally buy for our friends and family at home. By the time we reached Shanghai (on the trip's last day) our group was desperate to go shopping or malling to buy items to bring back home, small stuff and souvenirs, so our group opted to forego the Nanking Road walk thru the branded stores to get more time to shop at street stores or bazaars. This we were able to do at the stalls outside Li Garden, and a boutique zone of many shops.

The concept of visiting a family and having lunch at their home was good, except that there was no interaction in the lunch. We just sat down and ate, something we could have easily done at a restaurant. Maybe the hostess could join us in the conversation or show us how Chinese dishes are cooked at home, etc.

Thanks and best regards,
