We had a fantastic time on the trip, and enjoyed all the experiences. We did receive surveys at the end of each city tour, and allowed privacy to complete the form.
Here is some additional feedback:
Beijing & Candy
- Candy was full of positive energy.
- Driver was amazing with timing, and always there when time to leave. This requires perfect coordination from Candy as well.
- Driver was very skilled at navigating the coach.
- The vehicle did smell of cigarettes, which was not pleasant.
- Candy did not provide her contact card at the beginning of the trip, in case of emergency. Instead, she stressed the need to stay together. It would have been nice to have the option to stay together, or explore on your own.
- Meals were all delicious.
Xi'an & Jacky
- Jacky had great passion and I loved that he gave us the option to explore as a group or on our own with a meeting time and place.
- Driver was also incredibly skilled. His ability to park in small spaces was impressive.
- The home cooked lunch was very memorable.
- The service for the last lunch was not very good, but the food was delicious.
Chengdu & Susan
- Susan was very helpful and flexible. She helped several of us the first night with locating establishments. She made calls, and walked us to our destinations.
- Susan also made arrangements for an airport transfer for us for the final day. This was greatly appropriated.
- The original itinerary had us visiting 2 museums. She recognized we were not very interested in the first museum visit, so allowed us options of what we could do instead of the second museum.
- The written itinerary on the first day did not match what we did. It said we would land, and then go to the hotel with lunch on our own. The afternoon would have a museum visit. However, we went straight from the airport to a museum which left some of us very hungry as we missed the opportunity for lunch. The museum also did not have any food for purchase.
- Hotel location was great with easy access to many things.
