China Tour Reviews

Dear Abbey and Wendy,

Sorry for late reply on this, the come back home after my 2 weeks stay in China has been quite busy.

I have every intention to go and give a sparkling review to your services on your website. Our stay was wonderful, my friend and I were absolutely thrilled with the experience.

Everything was better than we expected: the hotel, the meals, the various arrangements. Our guide, Christine, was very knowledgeable about all the things she showed us and could answer all our (sometimes weird) questions and was very friendly and nice. The driver was very nice and helpful as well.

The on-line booking procedure was perfect; we highly appreciated the flexibility to add one night at the hotel and the drive to Beijing South train station and Christine's help in retrieving our tickets at the locket. The follow up was also very thorough, including this last email I'm answering to.

Long story short, our stay was definitely a great one and I have already recommended your services to some friends and surely will do it again in the future.

Thank you very much for helping us get all those wonderful memories of Beijing and maybe we'll be in touch for another trip to your country, who knows...

A brief review of our recent Chinese trip.

Overall: We were very pleased with the trip. Planning the tour was simple and the travel consultants responded well to our requests. All arrangements made by you worked perfectly (as we have come to expect).

The train tickets were awaiting our arrival at the Beijing City Line Hotel on 5th September. I feel I owe you a further apology for not confirming their safe arrival. This was caused by technical problems followed by our swift departure to North Korea, from where all communication is impossible.

Datong

Datong Hotel: A somewhat soulless modern hotel in the equally soulless centre of the new town. Room rather small for a four star hotel. Breakfast excellent. Guide knowledgeable with very good command of English. The car was clean and the driver competent. Lunch good. Yungang Caves, Hanging Temple and Nine Dragon Wall make Datong well worth the visit, though the air quality in the city is regrettable.

Pingyao

The town was a delight despite the crowds of the mid-autumn holiday. The Tianyuankui Guesthouse was delightful in every way. Guide personable and knowledgeable but his enthusiasm to explain sometimes ran ahead of his command of English. Good lunch of local specialities. Three different drivers and cars, all perfectly satisfactory.

Thank you very much for all your work. We will be back.

Regards
