China Tour Reviews

I had a wonderful experience seeing China. The guides, drivers, transportation, hotels and restaurants were all excellent. The only hotel that is a bit dated is the Bell Tower Hotel in Xi'an. The lobby is impressive, but the rooms are old. It is in an excellent location though. Guide Mike in Suzhou. I have to say he helped me when I got sick. He came to the hotel when I phoned early in the morning and got me to a doctor and got me an injection and some medicine. I am very grateful for his prompt action. We missed a bit of the tour... the silk factory but that was OK with me as we would also go to one in Shanghai. My partner in Suzhou seemed to handle the delay OK. Perhaps a few recommended restaurants in Suzhou would help. (I ate food that disagreed with me and could not keep any medication down.) It would be better if lunch is included in Suzhou too because we are so used to having everything prepaid that we were short on cash to pay for our food. You need to be organized because credit cards are no good where we were. I would recommend your services to anyone planning to travel to China. Oh, one more suggestion, traveling by train to Suzhou was a fun experience but we would have liked a shower and change of clothes before setting out on the day's events. Thank-you to everyone who helped to make my trip a marvelous experience.

Hi Wendy,

Give my regards to Koko.

I arrived to my home in California a few hours ago. I will give more details and photos in another email in a day or two, but please let me state most emphatically what a marvelous tour guide you have in Koko. Our tour at the Terracotta Warriors Tomb and museum was so fascinating that I could not leave. I requested that she please stay there with me; and we go over so many details in each building and on the grounds so that I declined her request to take me to the City Wall. I just couldn't break myself away from the place because she made it so interesting and I was so curious. We only left when there was just enough time to get me to the train back to Shanghai (dropping me at the Sheraton first so that I could relax with some yoga before the overnight train trip.)
