We did not avail meals, but the breakfast buffet at the Days Inn Forbidden City Hotel suited our tastes, it was delicious.
Our guide, Gloria Guo, was fluent in English and very helpful. We never got disappointed in her. She offered information on the visited sites and answered our questions also. She was very helpful and patient with us, especially with our elderly mother who at one time, had to use a wheelchair. She assisted our elderly mother, and there was once when she had to intercede for us when my mother left the product that she bought at the Panjayuan market. She also gave us advice where to take our meals, and offered tips when we went around after each day's tour.
The driver, Li, was also very helpful and accommodating. The car was kept clean all the way.
As earlier said, we were happy with the breakfast meals at Days Inn Forbidden City. The hotel service was good and the room was kept clean. However, the three of us (there were 6 of us) who were booked in a family room had to change rooms twice during our stay - although the hotel apologized for it.
