Hi Linda and Lydia,

Overall the tour went very well, well organized and a good selection of sights and places to visit. It was a pity that we selected a period of school holidays in China as the extra children everywhere became a nuisance especially on the Yangtze Cruise.

1. Meals. Basically the meals were excellent and the only issue I would have is that generally the portions were too big for us to eat especially at Lunchtime. The restaurant in Chongqing was my least favorite overlooking a very crowded and noisy lobby area. English was not good but the food was fine.

The restaurant I would recommend to my friends would be the Peking duck restaurant in Beijing, good food and a very nice peaceful setting. Also the family lunch in Xian was excellent, nice food and a great experience going to the home of a Chinese family.

2. Guides. Every guide was excellent, no problem with English or knowledge of the various sights we were visiting.

3. The drivers and cars were very good. Drivers helpful and willing although English was not spoken too well which was not a problem as the guides were always present. Cars were modern and clean and well maintained.

4. Hotels. All hotels we stayed at were up to a very high standard, rooms were clean and spacious and the restaurants and bars were very good.

One comment with the hotel in Xian, we found the location to be a bit inconvenient.

The Yangtze River cruise was the one area that had a number of disappointing aspects! At check in they tried to give us a room on the bottom deck, eventually after much complaining giving us a room on the 3rd deck. The rooms were very musty and damp smelling. Crew and food were excellent but we were not very happy with the condition of the Boat. Also because it was school holidays there were a lot of noisy children running and shouting from 5am until 11pm.

Thank you for organizing a very enjoyable and unforgettable tour to China. We really had a great time and appreciate the effort and planning that went into the overall organization.

Thank you for a wonderful trip to China. We thought it was very professionally planned and followed through. The tour guides in each city were a highlight for us, as they shared so much interesting information about their cities and their personal experiences. We thought the restaurant food was delicious and interesting locations. The drivers were always professional.
