Sorry for the delay in responding to this request for comments on your service. It is definitely NOT due to any dissatisfaction on our part. We are just now settling back into a more normal routine back at home.

We found everything to be delivered as advertised (or better!), and we are very glad to have chosen these tours.

Per your points of interest:

We enjoyed interacting with both guides. They were very knowledgeable and willing and able to answer all of our questions. Occasionally, Gloria dropped into what appeared to be a recitation of someone's pre-written script, but not frequently enough that it was objectionable. David seemed to be completely natural and unrehearsed, yet extremely informative. We had a little more difficulty understanding Gloria's accent, than David's, but they were both very fluent.

When I scheduled the tours, I wondered why it was necessary to have both a driver and a tour guide, but perhaps this was my inexperience with private tours. I now realize that the drivers provided the attention to navigation and parking the vehicle that was necessary at each stop. Both drivers were very competent and attentive, and the vehicles were clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed the meals! Both guides asked us for our food preferences and chose appropriate dishes. The quantity of food was certainly more than we could handle, but our appetites are not what they used to be!

Overall, we are glad to have chosen your company, and would have no hesitation to recommend you to others.

Meals: All the restaurants were very clean, provided nice menus with pictures and good service. We enjoyed the food best at the Szechuan restaurant in Changping, and were somewhat disappointed in our food at the Shanghai restaurant in the Beijing shopping mall.

Guide: "Du" was exceptionally informative, polite and provided us with a very detailed tour of all the places. The other guide who met us at the airport, and led us to and from the Hutong tour was also very nice, but needs more English to be an effective guide. He also lacked some of the personal touches that made Du so exceptional - little things like "Please wait here while I get the tickets" were noticeably lacking.

Driver: The driver drove very well, was very polite - opening the door for me every time and was friendly. Despite not speaking English we were able to communicate using body language. The car was clean enough and he drove safely.

Hotel: The hotel was excellent and the breakfasts were amazing. Totally pleased with the location, amenities and everything (except for the frustratingly bad internet service).

Tours: We enjoyed the itinerary very much.

We will definitely recommend your service to our friends and acquaintances.
