I enjoyed the meals. All the restaurants were Excellent. I really enjoyed the food and the show at the Sichuan restaurant on day to the Great Wall.
Our guide in Beijing was professional and very friendly. He was extremely knowledgeable and offered great depth of detail about the places we went. My only suggestion is that he seemed to be uncomfortable with silence and so would continue to tell us even more information and we were trying to absorb and enjoy the information he had already given. I would suggest he be silent after a big amount of information is given to allow us to process and then maybe we can ask questions if we don not understand or are interested to learn more.
The guide in Xian was bubbly and friendly. Her knowledge and anecdotes were interesting but her stories were not too long (which was good). She allowed for silence so that we could just look, and also asked us if we wanted to know more. This break from the guide speaking allowed us to talk to each other or just look without feeling as if we were being rude to the guide.
Both drivers were very friendly and helpful. Always opened doors. Helpful with luggage. Cars both were very clean. Water provided every day.
Excellent accommodation. Enjoyable buffet breakfast. Excellent hotel staff.
Please let both our guides that we send our thanks for them making our trip to Beijing and Xian a very enjoyable one.
