China Tour Reviews

Dear all,

The arrangements have been very good. We have been fully satisfied with the environment and service of the restaurants. My favorite meal is Peking duck.

The service provided by the guides has been very good. The communication in English has been satisfactory. The limit was basically on our side. We have no criticism in this respect. The service of our guide in Shanghai (Mr. Wu) is considered exceptional.
The local transportation was very good in all respects.

The hotel service, including breakfast has been good in all places. All rooms clean and well maintained.

The organization of the tour for our small group (three people) was close to perfection. Your agency is indeed offering all it promises.

The treasures and beauty of this country, coupled with the competence and flexibility of the guides makes such a trip unforgettable. We have to desire to come again in China, using the services of the same Agency.

Best regards,

Hello Linda,

Many, many thanks to your company for making this a trip of a lifetime.

We thought that the itinerary and allocation of time at each site was just right, except for Shanghai. The last day in Shanghai, we were all tired, and it was a Friday and rainy which meant very busy traffic. I think that our group was a bit dissatisfied because some felt a need to shop. We would suggest that either an additional day in Shanghai be scheduled or that the suggestion be made to future participants that they might want to add a day if they intended to do shopping.

The meals were all top quality, with enough variety to appeal to all tastes. The most unusual was the dumpling dinner at the theater. The itinerary suggested that "we not have high expectations", but we all thoroughly enjoyed the great variety and the taste of dumplings.

We liked every one of our guides and found them knowledgeable and personable. They all made us feel welcome and were flexible in responding to requests or extra information. We also found all of our guides to be completely fluent and understandable. They all provided full information and answers to our questions about the places visited.

I couldn't single out any one of them because they were all very helpful. I do wonder why it is necessary for them to have an English name. I guess I appreciated the fact that Wu in Shanghai didn't feel that it was necessary to have an English name.

All of the vehicles were clean and neat. We didn't actually have much interaction with the drivers, but they were always courteous and showed good driving skills.

The hotels were all wonderful and had great breakfasts. The only one that we felt was not quite up to the same standard was the Grand New World Hotel in Xi'an. It was certainly acceptable, but the rooms seemed a little worn. This isn't a complaint at all, just a suggestion that it might be more of a 3-star hotel.

It is hard to single out one experience as a highlight, but the trip on the Yangtze was very special to us. It also came at the right time to provide some relaxation during the busy pace of the trip. The side trip on the Shennong Stream was memorable, especially our guide on that trip who shared her personal story of living on the river.

Thanks!
