China Tour Reviews

Dear Nicole,

Our trip was very well organized. I have commented on the various points below:

The meals, breakfast and lunches in Beijing were great, no complaints. The restaurant on the way to the Great Wall (lunch) was our favorite. The breakfast in the hotel in Xian was very ordinary.

Our guide in Beijing, Linda (her English name) was fantastic, very friendly, helpful and had a great historical knowledge of the sites we visited. She looked after us very well, explaining the menu at each lunch stop, making sure we were comfortable, I can highly recommend her. Our guide in Xian was a young man, he was very enthusiastic and had good historical knowledge, however, his enthusiasm was a little over the top at times. Our guide in Lhasa was very good; as a few of us suffered badly with altitude sickness he looked after us very well. His historical knowledge was however limited.

The drivers and cars were very good and the cars were kept clean.

The hotel in Beijing was very good, the rooms and breakfast were excellent. The hotel in Xian was very ordinary. The hotel in Lhasa was OK and acceptable for a 3* hotel. The other hotels in Tibet were OK for the standard you would expect from Tibet.

We would like to compliment Linda, our guide in Beijing, she made our stay very enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable about Chinese history; she looked after us very well and was a delight to be around. A few of us became sick in Lhasa and our guide in Tibet was extremely kind to us and my friends, he looked after her very well.
