Thank you once again for the great China tour, we really enjoyed ourselves.
We thought that the scheduling was very well accounted for. There was very little to no wasted time during the entire 9-day tour. We would have enjoyed a little more time at the Great Wall (so as to account for the difficulty of climbing) and at the Terracotta Warriors as both seemed very short (not rushed, just short).
The food was excellent, more than enough at each meal (too much at some). We couldn't pick only one meal, the Peking Duck meal and the Dumpling feast were both sooooo good that we could never choose between the two.
Our only recommendation would be to tell people that the beverage choices at each meal are limited to Coke, Sprite, beer and water. Some sort of juice would have been great to have available.
All 3 guides (Jason, Echo and William) were great. They all had unique senses of humour and ways of teaching us the history of China.
The buses were always clean and the AC was what kept us sane when it got incredibly hot outside. It was nice to be able to leave our daypacks on the bus and know that the drivers were conscientious enough to keep it locked and our things safe.
My only recommendation would be coolers to keep the water cold, North Americans drink our water extremely cold and luke warm water (while refreshing when really thirsty) is not really our taste.
The hotels we stayed in in Bejing and Xian were of an excellent quality and the food served at both was super. The buffet breakfasts were very well done in both hotels, with respect to quality and choice of foods. We felt that the hotel in Shanghai was not quite as nice and the food was not what we had come to expect because of Bejing and Xian. It might be worth exploring the possibility of staying in a little nicer hotel in Shanghai, even if it might cost a little bit more each night. As well, we really only had one tour day in Shanghai due to having to change our flights, it would be nice to include a little more time in Shanghai with a guide, maybe increase the tour to ten days to have two or two and half days in Shanghai at the end.
It was wonderful meeting Maggie in Xian -- it was great to meet the person behind the emails!
We had an amazing time on our China trip, we would highly recommend travelling with ChinaTour360 to our friends, family or others we hear of planning this type of trip. We really felt that the value we received for our money was outstanding, we definately got our money's worth! The scheduling was most impressive as the trip really runs like a well-oiled machine with time for pictures, sightseeing and learning about the history and culture. The tour guides are fun, energetic and professional throughout the tour, we really enjoyed each tour guide that we had. The evening shows were wonderful and we enjoyed the Chinese Acrobat performance in Shanghai -- we really felt that was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you again for everything, we had a super China trip!
