China Tour Reviews

Dear Ms Cynthia Xiao and Ms Irene Zhou,

Thank you for your follow up email.

Our 23 days tour of China, covering a great distance, from Shanghai in the east to Kashgar in the west has given us opportunity to see many sides of a great country.

In between, we also visited Holly mountain Mt. Emei, magnificent Huangshan, were on board a ship cruising downstream the Mighty Yangtze River and visiting The Three Gorges Dam Project, all of which would leave a lasting memory for us for years and years to come.

You have created an itinerary which allowed us to see all we wanted to see. Within the limited time, we could not really go in depth about the places we visited, however a number of experienced and knowledgeable guides that we had on this trip made a big difference to the whole experience.

We would like to make special mention to the local guides in Xinjiang, starting from Aliya (she is a substitute to meet us at the airport in Urumqi). What a warm welcome she gave us, very pleasant, helpful and happy like meeting an old friend, this in turn made us feel at home right away.

Imam, in Kashgar took us to all the places of interests in our itinerary, and more. He showed and explained a lot of the interesting and unique local culture, tradition, religion, food and crafts, and made sure that we did not miss the after mosque market to be part of the gathering of vendors and local people, this was really what we traveled far to see.

Our guide in Turpan, Dolkun, is very experienced and knowledgeble, he made all the ancient ruins we visited came alive, not just historical relics and facts we could read from books. Dolkun were also in charge when there was a risk of sandstorm, he informed and consulted us and this allowed for a change of plan with our agreement. He and the driver worked well together and we felt completely safe under the threat of incoming sandstorm. The local food he chose were excellent, and we would recommend to everyone taking the Silk Road Tour to try the delicious lamb dishes even though they normally would not like to eat lamb at home.

Also we would like to thank the office staff in Kasghar who upon our notification of left behind glasses in the car, investigated and promptly sent them back to the hotel. We really appreciated this out of the way effort of the staff. Without saying, of course our guides in Xinjiang speak excellent English and In short, our experience in Xinjiang were so fun and positive that this sort of set the standard of expectation for the rest of the trip.

The Yangtze River cruise with China Regal was very pleasant, service and food were good. .

Here is a suggestion for the Huangshan tour. Your office should provide information before tour begins, that to reach Xihai hotel, taking the cable car is only part of the journey, another 1 km or more of walking and climbing steps are still needed before actually reaching the hotel.

We appreciate the Xian office for organizing this China trip, to address all concerns before and during the trip which ran reasonably smoothly, over all we are happy with the service and action taken to address our concerns and would definitely choose your company again for future trip to China and to recommend Chinatour360 to friends and family.

Before leaving Beijing for home we asked Renee to deliver a Thank You note to Mr. Jason Yin for his beautiful bouquet of flowers, we hope he received it.

Sincerely,
Mr. & Mrs, Sanjoto
