Dear Hebe,
Overall, your tour was better even than we expected.
Rose in Beijing, Cyndy in Xian, Peggy in Shanghai and Julia in Suzhou were all wonderfully knowledgeable and attentive. We particularly appreciated how they (and Wu in Chongqing and Frank in Yichang) all picked us up promptly at each destination and insured that we got off safely. I especially commend Wu who had hurt his foot on the morning of our tour, but soldiered on courageously and graciously.
The cruise was fabulous and Suzhou was a wonderful surprise.
We are really pleased that we opted for an extra day in Shanghai on our own; otherwise, I'm not sure we would have had the time to appreciate the city.
We loved--really loved--the three shows to which we were treated in Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai.
Our favorite restaurants had good atmosphere as well as good food . . . but for sure the meals were always good and varied.
All hotels were fine, although the Pacific Luck in Shanghai had a much inferior breakfast and ambience than the others--although the room there was among our favorites.
The only real suggestion I have is that your tour be a bit more sensitive to energy levels. For instance, on the last day of the cruise, we were up very early to tour the dam. Upon arrival in Yichang, we would have appreciated a comfortable place to relax, read, internet or whatever instead of touring the sturgeon museum--especially because the airport there, under reconstruction, was a most uncomfortable place as well.
Once again, though, I want you to know how in all key respects, your service provided us with a marvelous experience and superb customer service.
When I get to review our photos, I'll be happy to send you a few.
Best,
James
