Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province, is endowed with four distinct seasons, being dry and windy in spring, muggy and rainy in summer, clear in autumn and bitterly cold in winter. Winter lasts for seven months and the snow may exit 20 centimeters (7.9 inches) in thickness. A spectacular scene indeed! The mean yearly precipitation of Changchun is 56.7 centimeters (22.3 inches) and the rainfall in summer account for sixty percent.
