Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of your day is free.

Day 02: Beijing
You will walk through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant.  Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing - Urumqi
This morning you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake. Take an afternoon flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 Jiaohe Ruins, Turpan



Day 05: Urumqi - Turpan
Drive to Turpan and check in the local hotel. Today's itinerary includes the Jiaohe Ruins, the largest, oldest and best-preserved earthen city in the world, the Karez Irrigation Channels and the Sugong Pagoda. (B+L)

Day 06: Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Gao Chang Ruins, and the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves located deep in the Flaming Mountains. Board the overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Dunhuang
Your guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. You will get an opportunity to take a brief, but fun camel ride along the Echooing-Sand Dune to reach Crescent Lake. Visit the Mogao Grottoes in the afternoon. Breakfast is on your own. (L)

Day 08: Dunhuang - Xian
Take flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. Visit the City Wall. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. (B+L)

Day 09: Xian
Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an a la carte lunch at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. Tonight you'll enjoy Xian's famous dining specialty, the Dumpling Banquet. After dinner you'll be entertained by the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Xian - Lhasa
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi in the morning. Then take flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be met by the guide and transferred to the local best hotel. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. Tonight, the a la carte dinner will be served at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+D)

Day 11: Lhasa

Day 12: Lhasa
Start the day with visits to the Jokhang Temple, the thriving Barkhor Street bazaar. After a western-style lunch, you'll see the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Tradition Medicine Hospital and the Lhasa Carpet Factory. This evening dinner will be served at the hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 13: Lhasa - Gyangtse
Drive to Gyangtse and stop at the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake before transferring to the Gyangtse Hotel. Visit the Pelkhor Monastery and Gyangtse Old Town. Tonight's dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 14: Gyangtse - Shigatse
Enjoy the hour-long drive to the town of Shigatse and transfer to the Shigatse Hotel. Visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen where Tibetan lamas live and worship. You will dine at your hotel tonight. (B+L+D)

Day 15: Shigatse - Lhasa
Today we'll motor back to Lhasa and transfer to the Lhasa Hotel. Tonight, you'll have dinner at the hotel. (B+L+D)

This morning you'll meet a Tibetan family and get an opportunity to see their customs and how they live. Then after lunch, take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 17: Shanghai
Today, tour the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and the Bund. Later, you will visit a local family to experience the local people's life. Tonight's dinner will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant. After dinner, you'll go to the Shanghai Centre Theatre and see the fabulous Portman Acrobatic Show. Day 18: Departure from Shanghai
