Day 01: Arrival in Beijing

When you arrive at Beijing airport, our guide and driver will wait for you outside the customs of Beijing airport. They will drive you to the 4-star Holiday Inn Central Plaza Hotel and help you to finish the check-in procedures. The remainder of the day is left to you to get around or take a good rest in the hotel.

Day 02: Beijing

Your China tour begins in the capital city, Beijing. After the breakfast, you will attend the pre-tour briefing meeting in the lobby of the hotel, and our guide will give you a simple introduction about your whole journey in China. First, you will go to the Tiananmen Square. As the largest city center square in the world, it is also regarded as one of the landmark of Beijing. Across the square, you will walk to the Forbidden City, which used to be the 24 emperors and their families' dwelling palace. Nowadays, you can still sense the glorious and splendid trace in the museum. To avoid the restaurants in low quality, we will arrange you an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) in a famous and elegant restaurant. Towards afternoon, pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven, the royal worship site for rich harvest. In the evening, you will be entertained by an amazing Chinese Kung Fu Show at Ted Theatre. (B+L)

Day 03: Beijing

After the breakfast, drive to the Badaling section of the great wall. The Great Wall is a name card of China, while the Badaling is the most typical and majestic section along with the beautiful scenery. On the wall, you can wander around and find some good sites to shoot photos. Visit a jade factory next. By the way, the lunch is on your own side, for the nearby restaurants are in poor quality. You are suggested to have a big breakfast and take some snacks from the hotel. Then continue our journey to the Sacred Way, the main approach leading to the Ming Tomb. On the ride back to the hotel, you will view the appearance of Bird’s Nest in a distance. (B)

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
In the morning, you will be driven to the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China, which enjoys the fame of the Museum of Imperial Gardens. It fully indicates the attainments in architectural art. You need to savor the beauty of the garden from subtle work, for even a brick or a tile is full of delicacy. After a brief visit at a pearl store, you will be treated with an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) at a restaurant with great atmosphere. Next, we will trace the Hutong alleys to fulfill your curiosity for the local people's life, and in the meantime, you will experience their culture and folklore. Get ready for a flight to Xian. Our guide will pick you up in the airport and transfer you to the selected hotel, 5-star Sheraton Hotel. (B+L)
Day 05: Xian
The most notable attraction of ancient Xian city must be the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The museum is unrivalled over its large spectacle, far-reaching history and delicate pottery figures. You will definitely marvel at the wisdom of ancient people in Qin Dynasty. Visit a pottery-making factory next. And then you will drop by a local family, and have a homely cooked lunch (valued at CNY100.00 per person and included in our price) there. Then we will proceed to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in downtown, which is a famous Buddhist pagoda survived from Tang Dynasty. This evening will be livened up by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 06: Xian

This morning, you will start a history exploration trip. The City Wall of Ming Dynasty, with a history of 600 years around, is the renowned landmark of Xian. Then you will explore the treasure house, Provincial History Museum. The museum stores cultural relics up to 370,000 pieces, and most are from Han and Tang dynasties. Stop by a popular restaurant, and have an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) for the following trip. After a short rest, continue our visit to the Great Mosque, originally built in 742 AD. Nowadays, it still functions as the place for regular religious practices. Some free time is left for your own exploration around the market. (B+L)

Day 07: Xian - Chengdu
You will take a morning flight to Chengdu, the home of giant panda. Our guide will come to your service in the airport and help you to check into the 4-star Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza. Then you will be free for the remaining time of the day. You can either have a good rest at the hotel for the next day's exploration or explore the city on your own. The hotel is near the Exit C of East Gate Bridge subway station on line 2, so you can take that to the Tianfu Square, where you can find a lot of restaurants around. (B)

Day 08: Chengdu
Get up in the early morning, we will head to the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. We will catch the panda’s breakfast moment, for it is their most active time in daily life. You can capture their funny performance with your camera. Besides, there are many other rare species inhabiting in the base for panda's accompany. Then, you will move forward to visit the Jinsha Site Museum and the Broad and Narrow Alleys. The museum used to be the center of Ancient Shu Kingdom's civilization, and the excavated exhibits, especially the ivories, gold and jade wares, are the best witness to reshow the glorious age. The 4D Cinema 'Dream Back to Jinsha' enables you to get a better understanding of this city. (B)
Day 09: Chengdu - Chongqing
The whole morning is left for your own exploration, and the lunch is also on your own. The Tianfu Square mentioned before is a good choice for you. Then you will be transferred to the railway station to take a soft seat bullet train to Chongqing. Upon arrival, our guide in Chongqing will pick you up and drive you to board the luxurious 5-star cruise ship, President No. 8 with balcony. The ship is scheduled to depart at 22:00, and your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. (B)

Day 10: Shibaozhai
At 14:00 around, you will take an onshore excursion to Shibaozhai. Located at the north bank of Yangtze River, it is renowned for the 12-story wooden tower, which was constructed along the steep mountainside. Atop the tower, you can have panorama view of the river scenery and the ships in motion. Then we will go back to our ship, and you will be invited to attend the Captain’s Welcome Party held in this evening. (B+L+D)
Day 11: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
Today, your cruise will begin the passage with the Qutang Gorge, which is the shortest but the most arduous section of the Three Gorges. Keep sail to the Wu Gorge, the most beautiful section, which is characterized by its picturesque gallery. The twelve rolling peaks are the highlights the landscape. You will debark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream. The stream is narrow and rapid, with cliffs and steep hills on the both sides. Taking a pea boat drifting down the stream, you can view the suspending coffins and calligraphy carving on the cliff. Then sail into the western section of the Xiling Gorge, and we will stop at Sandouping for a night stay. (B+L+D)
Day 12: Yichang - Shanghai

In the morning, we will disembark for an onshore sightseeing to the famous Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydraulic project in China as well as in the world. Apart from its practical function in water control, the dam also becomes a hot scenic spots. After the sightseeing, you are supposed to go back to the ship and complete the check-out procedures. Then our guide will transfer you to Yichang to have a simple lunch and see you off by the flight to Shanghai. Our guide in Shanghai will meet you in the airport and transfer you to the 4 stars Grand Mercure Shanghai Zhongya Hotel. (B+L)

Day 13: Shanghai

This morning, we will learn about the history, culture and architecture of Shanghai. Your first stop is Shanghai Museum, where you can sense the trace of history process and cultural root of Shanghai. Then visit Yuyuan Garden, which used to be an illustrious family's dwelling palace. For its elegance and grandeur, the garden is really a pearl in Chinese classic architecture. Drop by a silk shop. At lunch time, an a la carte meal (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be especially served in a nice restaurant. After that, we will go to the bund area, where you can have the best of view of the unique building complex in the opposite the Huangpu River. Stroll to the Nanjing Road, the heaven for shopping lovers. Then following our guide, you will explore the ancient cultural street, Tianzifang. It is a combination of fashion, traditional and pop culture. You can hop into any book stores, painting shops, teahouses or bars to entertain yourself. Then return to the hotel, and it's time to say good bye to your group companions and our guide. (B+L)

Day 14: Departure from Shanghai

Please note that you are expected to check out by 12:00, and then you should find your own way to the airport to catch the scheduled flight.
