Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way. Tonight you will enjoy an a la carte dinner at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing Street. (B+L+D)

 

Today you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake, the Lama Temple and the Panda House in Beijing Zoo. After dinner, take an overnight soft sleeper train to Datong. (B+L+D)

 

Your local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Breakfast is served in your hotel. Today you will visit one ancient Buddhist monastery, the Shanhua Temple; one of China's most famous spirit screens, Nine Dragon Wall and the amazing Hanging Temple built into the side of a cliff. Start the day by going to the 1500-year old Yungang caves. Take an afternoon soft sleeper train to Taiyuan and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

Visit the Double Pagoda Temple and the Chongshan Temple this morning. Afternoon is free at leisure. (B+L)

 

Drive to Pingyao and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Qiao Family's compound, Shuanglin Monastery, the City Wall and the Ming - Qing Street. (B+L)

 

Visit the Ri Sheng Chang Financial House, the Tongxinggong ancient bank safeguard and the Courtyard Residence. Drive to Taiyuan, where you will take an overnight soft sleeper train to Xian. (B+L)

 

Your local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Breakfast is served in your hotel. This morning you will visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family, which helps you know how local people live. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D)

Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an a la carte lunch at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. This evening, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. Take flight to Kunming and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Flowers and Birds Market and the Golden Palace. (B+L)

 

Today you will visit the incredible must - Stone Forest at Lunan. Then take flight to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

Today visit the Baisha Village with its famous murals, a local Naxi family and also see Joseph Rock's former residence in Yuhu Village. In the afternoon, spend some time exploring the old town on your own. This evening enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace. (B+L+D)

 

Morning is free at leisure. Take flight back to Kunming where you will connect flight to Guilin. Your local guide there will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Enjoy Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner. (B+D)

 

Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo you can take a short bicycle trip to the countryside where you will visit a local villager's home and experience his rural lifestyle. Alternatively you can take our electric car instead of a bicycle. (Sometimes the food served on the cruise is not the best, so consider a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning) (B+L)

 

Take the short drive back to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Fubo Hill. Then take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

In the morning, tour the Shanghai Museum and Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River. Tonight's dinner will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant. After dinner, you'll go to the Shanghai Centre Theatre and see the fabulous Portman Acrobatic Show. Take a soft seat train to Suzhou and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a city tour to the Garden of the Master of the Nets, the Tiger Hill and the Humble Administrator's Garden. (B+L)

 

Take a soft seat train back to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. The rest of your day is free for you to explore the city by yourselves. (B)

 

You will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B)
