Shanghai Bund area

Day 01: Arrival in ShanghaiYou'll be met outside the baggage claim area at Shanghai Airport. Shanghai has two airports, one is Hongqiao Airport and the other is Pudong Airport. We will arrange the transfer service according to your arrival flight schedule and transfer you to the hotel. The balance of the day is left for you to rest from your overseas flights.
Day 02: ShanghaiShanghai Museum is the first stop of your tour. It houses as many as 112,000 collections of historical items, especially bronzes, chinaware and ancient calligraphies and paintings from past dynasties. Then you will be guided to the Yuyuan Garden, which is located in the ancient Shanghai city area. The afternoon itinerary is different for luxury and standard series. Please refer to the "Difference" below. The welcome dinner is arranged at the Central Hotel, one of the China Time-Honored Brand, Wang Bao He restaurant of which has a history over 260 years and is the best place to sample Shanghai Cuisine. Later, you will enjoy an amazing Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)
Differences:
For the Luxury series, we will arrange a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River in the afternoon. For the Standard series, the guide will accompany you strolling along the Bund area and visiting a local family in the afternoon.
Day 03: Shanghai - YichangHave a brief visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, a grand architecture with Ming Dynasty style. This temple has a long history as it is built in 1918. Then head for Yichang by flight, which is the beginning city of your Yangtze River Cruise. You will be met with comfortable private transfer. If time is available, you may visit Yichang Museum to get know the culture of Chu people. After dinner, check in at the cruise ship for a good rest. (B+L+D)

Three Gorges Dam, Yangtze River

Day 04: Three Gorges DamThe exciting Yangtze River cruise starts at 07:00 in the morning. Sail along the eastern Xiling Gorge, which is the longest and most beautiful section in the grand Three Gorges. Disembark and take a visit to the magnificent under constructed Three Gorges Dam Site. It is the biggest irrigation project in the world. Then back to the ship and continue cruising along the western Xiling Gorge and pass the Five Level Ship Lock. After dinner, you are invited to participate in the Captain's Welcome Party. (B+L+D)
Day 05: Three Little GorgesSail through Wu Gorge in the morning. You can appreciate the grotesque rocks and craggy summit along the Wu Gorge, which is like a beautiful gallery of twists and turns. Later, take a detour to the verdant Three Little Gorges or the Shennong Stream according to different series. You will also experience an exciting short pea-boat rowing by boatman. Back to the ship and view the scenery of the shortest Qutang Gorge. It is the shortest section, but it is the most grand and steepy one. (B+L+D)
Differences:
The cruise ship of luxury series will arrange you a side trip to the Three Little Gorges, one tributary of Yangtze River. Different from the grandness and ruggedness, the Three Little Gorges is famous for its pretty, delicacy and elegancy.
The cruise ship of standard series will arrange you a side trip along the Shennong Stream, another tributary of Yangtze River. The watercourse of Shennong Stream is narrow and stream current is rapid, but the water is clear and shallow. Drifting through there will give you a memorable experience.

Day 06: FengduDisembark at the little ancient town, Fengdu. Back on the Fuduming Mountain and face the Yangtze River, this is a beautiful town. Visit the Snowy Jade Cave or the "Ghost City" according to different series. Then continue sailing to Chongqing. In the evening, join in the farewell party and enjoy your last night on board. (B+L+D)
Differences:
You will take an onshore excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave for the luxury series, but Fengdu "Ghost City" in standard series.
Day 07: Chongqing - XianThe ship is scheduled to arrive in the Mountain City, Chongqing at around 08:30-09:00. Follow the notification to pack your luggage in advance. The guide will meet you on board and take you for a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo. You will have a close meet with the lovely pandas. Then visit the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. After a rich lunch at a famous restaurant, take flight to Xian. Our guide will pick you up at Xian Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Differences:
A sumptuous buffet dinner at the hotel is only served for Luxury series.
Day 08: XianThe full day tour covers all the important historical sites in Xian, ranging from Qin Dynasty (246-209B.C), Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D) to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). First is the Qin Terracotta Amy. The museum is divided into three sections: No. 1 Pit, No. 2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit respectively. Altogether over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been unearthed from these pits. After an a la carte lunch in a local famous restaurant, visit the National Key Cultural Relic Preserve, Tang Wild Goose Pagoda and the Ming City Wall. You will learn more Chinese ancient history from our guide's explanation. In the evening, you will be served with different dinner and show in different class. (B+L+D)
Differences:
For the Luxury series, we will arrange the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show at the splendid Tang Dynasty Palace (Address: No.75 Chang'an Road, Xian).
For the Standard series, the local speciality Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show at Shaanxi Opera Theater will be served. (Address: No. 165, Wenyi Road, Xian)
Day 09: Xian - BeijingVisit the Great Mosque, one of the oldest Mosque in Xian. You can also have an exploration to the Muslim Bazaar nearby for some souvenirs for your family or friends. Then you will visit a local family to have access with the local people and their life. After an a la carte lunch served at a well-selected restaurant, head for Beijing by flight and you will be met by the professional tour guide with comfortable private transfer. Check in at the well selected hotel and have a good rest. (B+L)

Day 10: BeijingToday you will be leaded to the never-missed Great Wall at Badaling section. To avoid the unappetizing food near the sightseeing, you will be transferred to a local famous restaurant and have a decent meals for lunch. The visits continue to the Ming Tomb nearby. And then get back to downtown and visit the largest royal garden in China, the Summer Palace. As it includes various gardens, mountains, lakes as well as royal palaces, the Summer Palace is considered as a Royal Garden Museum. The full day tour will be ended by seeing the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). (B+L+D)
Differences:
An a la carte dinner of Cantonese cuisine at a nice restaurant at the bustling Wangfujing Street is arranged for Luxury series, while the dinner for Standard series is left free.
Day 11: BeijingYou will walk through Tiananmen Square, literally meaning the 'Gate of Heavenly Peace'. There may have some locals flying kites in the largest urban square in the world. Passing the Tiananmen Square, you will enter the Forbidden City of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Most of the buildings were built with wood, roofed with yellow glazed tiles and built on blue-and-white stone foundations, looking solemn and brilliant. The last stop is the Temple of Heaven. It was originally used for imperial to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant. Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)
Day 12: Depature from BeijingPack your luggage up. Our guide will accompany you to the airport and see you off by your homeward flight. (B)
