Today tour the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. Then you will visit a local family to experience the local people's life. Afterwards, take a soft seat train to Suzhou and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

Enjoy a city tour to visit the Tiger Hill, the Humble Administrator's Garden and the exquisite Garden of the Master of the Nets. Then you will go back to Shanghai by soft seat train and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

This morning tour the Jade Buddha Temple. Then take flight to Wuhan. You will have the opportunity to visit the Hubei Provincial Museum. Tonight enjoy your dinner at a local renowned restaurant. Then you will embark on the deluxe German-made cruise ship. At 19:00, the ship sets sail up the mighty Yangtze River. (B+L+D)

At 10:00 our cruise ends in Chongqing. You will then have the opportunity to visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at the 4-star Holiday Inn Yangtze. Then take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Tonight you will enjoy the Ethnic Minority Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre. (B+L+D)

 

Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo you can take a short bicycle trip to the countryside where you will visit a local villager's home and experience his rural lifestyle. Alternatively you can take our electric car instead of a bicycle. Then take the short drive back to Guilin. (Sometimes the food served on the cruise is not the best, so consider a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning) (B+L)

 

Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Seven Star Park. Then take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an excellent Cantonese lunch. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight you'll enjoy Xian's famous dining specialty, the Dumpling Banquet. After dinner you'll be entertained by the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

 

Visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, visit the City Wall and the Great Mosque, the center of Xian's sizeable Muslim community and then walk through the neighboring bazaar. (B+L)

 

Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi in the morning. Take flight to Lhasa and check in the hotel. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. Tonight, the a la carte dinner will be served at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+L+D)

 

This morning you will view the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, continue your sightseeing tour to visit the Sera Monastery and Norbulingka Park. Tonight you will dine at your hotel. (B+L+D)

 

Start the day with visits to the Jokhang Temple, the thriving Barkhor Street bazaar. After a western-style lunch, you'll see the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Tradition Medicine Hospital and the Lhasa Carpet Factory, Tibet's largest. This evening dinner will be at the hotel. (B+L+D)

 

You'll meet a Tibetan family and get an opportunity to see their customs and how they live in the morning. Fly to Beijing and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

You will walk through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant.  Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

 

Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way. (B+L)

 

If time is available, you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake. Then you will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B)
