Our guide will meet you at the airport. Visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell if time permits. Tonight enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner at the 4-star Holiday Inn Yangtze. Then you will embark on the deluxe Century Star cruise ship. At 23:30, the ship sets sail down the mighty Yangtze River. You will be required to attend a Safety, Orientation & River Briefing this morning through which you will learn the geography & river lore of China. After lunch, land on Fengdu to have an excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave. You are invited to join in the Chinese folk dancing and music performance during the Captain's Welcome Party at around 20:00. You will first pass through the Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the grandest of the Three Gorges. View the exquisite peaks and grotesquely shaped rocks. Then pass the Wu Gorge with its famous lofty and misty peaks. You'll stop at the town of Badong and take a small junk up the Shennong Stream and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery. The pea boat allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and precious animals. You will hear the very impressive unique songs of the local Tujia people from the boat trackers. The cruise will resume sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. You are invited to join in the Farewell Party tonight to perform dancing or musical instruments with the cruise staff. (B+L+D)

 

Today, visit the monumental Three Gorges Dam Project in the early morning. At 11:30 you will arrive in Yichang. Your guides will get on board to meet you and drive you to a local famous restaurant to have lunch. Visit Yichang Museum if time permits. You will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B+L)
