Xian Xianyang International Airport (IATA Code: XIY) is 47 km (about 29 miles) northwest of downtown Xian and 13 km (about 8 miles) northeast of Xianyang City. It covers an area of 564 hectares (1493.7 acres), and is comprised of one runway, a taxiway, two terminal buildings, and 59 parking positions. There are all together 129 domestic air routes to 70 cities and 25 international air routes to 18 cities and areas. Passengers can get to other central or western Chinese cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Xining and Yinchuan from Xianyang International Airport within one hour, and reach any Chinese provincial capital or important tourist city within three hours. An airport hotel at the airport provides special hour-rate rooms for passenger's convenience. Restaurants, a cafeteria, and a coffee house provide buffet dinner, fast food and drinks. Passengers can find them at the east end of the second floor in T2, the east end of the first floor in the Waiting Hall, the west end of the International Departure Hall in the Waiting Hall, the Transferring Hall in the Waiting Hall, and in T1. Foreign Currency Exchange: There is a foreign currency exchange center in Terminal Building 2. A service fee of CNY 50 is charged for each exchange of any kinds of currency.
