You will walk through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant.  Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

 

Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L)

 

This morning you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake and the Panda House in Beijing Zoo. After lunch, take the afternoon flight to Xian and transfer to the local hotel. (B+L)

 

Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an a la carte lunch at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight you'll enjoy Xian's famous dining specialty, the Dumpling Banquet. After dinner you'll be entertained by the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D) 

 

Visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, visit the ancient City Wall and the Great Mosque, the center of Xian's sizeable Muslim community. (B+L)

 

Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi in the morning. Then take flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be met by the guide and transferred to Tsetang. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. Dinner is served in your hotel. (B+D)

This morning, you will take a ferry on the Yarlong Tsangpo River and visit the Samye Monastery. Drive back to Lhasa and check in the local hotel. Tonight, the a la carte dinner will be served at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+L+D)

 

This morning you will view the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, continue your sightseeing tour to visit the Sera Monastery and Norbulingka Park. Tonight you will dine at your hotel. (B+L+D)

 

Start the day with visits to the Jokhang Temple, the thriving Barkhor Street bazaar. After a western-style lunch, you'll see the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Tradition Medicine Hospital and the Lhasa Carpet Factory. This evening dinner will be served at the hotel. (B+L+D)

 

Drive to Nyingchi, en route visit the calm forest and the azalea valley and Mt. Namjabarwa, the 15th summit of the world. Transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Visit the Giant Cypress Forest, and Basum Tso Lake. Drive back to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)
 

This morning you'll meet a Tibetan family and get an opportunity to see their customs and how they live. Then after lunch, take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

 

Today, tour the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden and the Bund. Later, you will visit a local family to experience the local people's life. Tonight's dinner will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant. After dinner, you'll go to the Shanghai Centre Theatre and see the fabulous Portman Acrobatic Show. You will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B)
