Day 05: XianTour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an a la carte lunch at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. Tonight you'll enjoy Xian's famous dining speciality, the Dumpling Banquet. Day 08: Tsetang - LhasaThis morning, you will take a ferry on the Yarlong Tsangpo River and visit the Samye Monastery. Drive back to Lhasa and check in the local hotel. Tonight, the a la carte dinner will be served at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+L+D)
Day 09: LhasaThis morning you will view the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, continue your sightseeing tour to visit the Sera Monastery and Norbulingka Park. Tonight you will dine at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 10: LhasaStart the day with visits to the Jokhang Temple, the thriving Barkhor Street bazaar. After a western-style lunch, you'll see the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Tradition Medicine Hospital and the Lhasa Carpet Factory, Tibet's largest. This evening dinner will be at the hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Lhasa - Shangri-laYou'll meet a Tibetan family and get an opportunity to see their customs and how they live on the way to the airport. Take a ninety-minute flight to Zhongdian, which is also known as "Shangri-La" and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 12: Shangri-laToday you will visit the Bitahai Lake nature preserve and the Shudu Lake. You'll go inside the Songzanlin Temple, the biggest Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Yunnan Province on the way back. (B+L)

Day 13: Shangri-la - LijiangDrive though the scenic countryside to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. On the way, you will stop at the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the First Bend of the Yangtze River and the Stone Drum Town. (B+L)
Day 14: LijiangToday visit the Baisha Village with its famous murals, a local Naxi family and also see Joseph Rock's former residence in Yuhu Village. In the afternoon, spend some time exploring the old town on your own. This evening enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace. (B+L+D)

Day 19: Badong - Xiling Gorge - SandoupingToday, you'll stop at the town of Badong and take a small junk up the Shennong Stream and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery. The cruise will resume sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge and passing through the five-step ship lock. (B+L+D)
