Located in the central part of Shaanxi Province, Yangling is the cradle of China farming civilization. Over 4,000 years ago, Hou Yi, the first agriculture official in Chinese history, taught the local people of Yangling to sow fruits and grain, which pioneered Chinese agriculture. Now Yangling has been developed into a National Hi-tech Demonstration Zone of Agriculture, and become a tourism site of agriculture techniques and development.
