Day 02: Beijing
You will walk through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant.  Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing - Urumqi
This morning you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake. Take an afternoon flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 05: Urumqi - Turpan
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel. Today's itinerary includes the Jiaohe Ruins, the largest, oldest and best-preserved earthen city in the world, the Karez Irrigation Channels and the Sugong Pagoda. (B+L)

Day 06: Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Gao Chang Ruins, and the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves located deep in the Flaming Mountains. Board the overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Dunhuang
Your guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Visit the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum. Breakfast is on your own. (L)

Day 08: Dunhuang - Xian
You will get an opportunity to take a brief, but fun camel ride along the Echooing-Sand Dune to reach Crescent Lake. Take an afternoon flight to Xi'an and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 09: Xian
Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an excellent Cantonese lunch. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. Tonight you'll enjoy Xian's famous dining specialty, the Dumpling Banquet. After dinner you'll be entertained by the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Xian - Shanghai
Visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, visit the ancient City Wall. Then Take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 11: Shanghai
In the morning, tour the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, and the Bund. Later, you will visit a local family to experience the local people's life. Tonight's dinner will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant. After dinner, you'll go to the Shanghai Centre Theatre and see the fabulous Portman Acrobatic Show. Day 12: Departure from Shanghai
You will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B)
