Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B+L+D)

 

This morning you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake and the lovely Giant Pandas in Beijing Zoo. After lunch, you'll take the afternoon flight to Xian and transfer to the local best hotel. Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses where over 7,000 life-size warriors have stood guard for the last 2,000 years. Visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. Today fly to Lhasa and transfer to the finest hotel in the city. Late in the afternoon you will have a talk with a famous professor specially invited from Tibet University, who may bring you some interesting topics such as Tibetan religions, festivals, marriage and customs. You may also have questions and answers with the professor on Tibet people's life today. You'll be served a delicious a la carte dinner valued at CNY120.00 net per person (price included) this evening at a top-notch Sichuan restaurant. (B+D) 

 

Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit the Sera Monastery. Later, you'll meet a Tibetan family and get an opportunity to see their customs and how they live.  Tonight enjoy an unforgettable Tibetan dance and fashion show performed by a small group of Tibetan people while having dinner. Start the day with a visit to the Jokhang Temple. Then you will see the thriving Barkhor Street bazaar and the Tibetan Tradition Medicine Hospital. After a western-style lunch, you will visit the Norbulingka Park. This evening dinner will be at your hotel. (B+L+D)

 

This morning you will take a flight to Chongqing. Your guide will meet you at the airport, and then take you to visit the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell if time permits. Tonight enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner valued at CNY88.00 net per person (price included) at the 4-star Holiday Inn Yangtze. Then you will embark on the German-made cruise ship to stay overnight in preparation for your Yangtze cruise. (B+D)

 

At 08:00, the China Regal sets sail down the mighty Yangtze River. Your sightseeing highlight today will be a visit to the Ghost City of Fengdu. (B+L+D)

 

Today, you'll stop at the town of Badong and take a small junk up the Shennong Stream and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery. The cruise will resume sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge and passing through the five-step ship lock. (B+L+D)

 

This morning take an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Project. The cruise will resume sailing through the eastern section of Xiling Gorge. Exit the gorges at Yichang city, where you pass the ship lock of Gezhouba Dam. Experience the world's largest hydroelectric project to be completed in 2009. At 20:00 take part in the dancing and music performance in the evening party. (B+L+D)

 

The cruise ends in Wuhan at noon. Have an aftertaste on the scenery along the Yangtze River, and then disembark the cruise ship. You will be met by the guide and taken to have lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum. Fly to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. The evening will be free for you to explore something of Shanghai. (B+L)

 

In the morning, tour the Shanghai Museum and Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River. Tonight's dinner valued at CNY105.00 net per person will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant.
