Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai
Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Stroll on the Bund and Nanjing Road to explore the city if time permits.

Day 02: Shanghai
In the morning, tour the Shanghai Museum and Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River. Tonight's dinner will feature Shanghai cuisine at the renowned 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant. After dinner, you'll go to the Shanghai Centre Theatre and see the fabulous Portman Acrobatic Show. Day 03: Shanghai - Kaifeng
Morning is free at leisure and lunch is on your own. Visit the Yuyuan Garden in the afternoon. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Kaifeng. (B)

Day 04: Kaifeng - Luoyang
Your local guide will meet you at the railway station. After breakfast, visit the Kaifeng Museum to see its well-documented exhibit on Jewish history, the Qingming Riverside Scene Park to see the Kaifeng Judaic Exhibition, a local Jewish family and the former Jewish quarter, the cemetery of Jin (Gilbert), another Jewish family and the Iron Pagoda. Drive to Luoyang. (B+L)

Shaolin Temple, Luoyang



Day 05: Luoyang
Today you will view an astounding recent archaeological find, the Chariot and Horse Pits. Then you'll go to China's first officially sanctioned Buddhist Temple, the White Horse Temple. Later visit the Shaolin Monastery. (B+L)

Day 06: Luoyang - Xian
Visit the Longmen Caves, one of China's great sculptural treasures. Board the soft sleeper train to Xian and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 07: Xian
Tour the astounding Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Then we'll return to the city for an a la carte lunch at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. This evening, you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. Day 08: Xian
Visit the magnificent Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, visit the Great Mosque, the center of Xian's sizeable Muslim community and a local family, which helps you know how local people live. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Xian - Beijing
Take flight to Beijing and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake.  (B+L)

Day 10: Beijing
Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way. Tonight you will enjoy an a la carte dinner at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing Street. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Beijing

You will walk through Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.  Tonight you will feast on Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant.  Following dinner you will witness a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 12: Departure from Beijing
You will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight filled with memories of your exciting journey to this most amazing land. (B)
