Today you will walk through the Tiananmen Square which is the landmark of modern Beijing and attracts numerous visitors from abroad and at home every day. Then go to visit the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The a la carte lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. The Forbidden City is one of the largest and best-preserved palace complexes in the world and the Temple of Heaven is famous for its Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest in ancient time. Tonight you will enjoy a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre. (B+L)

In the morning visit the Great Mosque and a local family. Unlike most mosques in Middle Eastern or Arab countries, the Great Mosque in Xian is completely Chinese in its construction and architectural style, except for some Arabic lettering and decorations, for the mosque has neither domes nor traditional-style minarets. While in the local family, you will experience the folk life style. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, take a flight to Kunming and transfer you to the hotel. You will not miss the highly recommended spot in Kunming today. Drive to Lunan to visit the Stone Forest. In a region stretching about 400 square kilometers, there abounds with numerous stone formations just like the stone pillars, stalagmite, stone peaks, appearing like a big forest. Hence comes the name the Stone Forest. Walking through the alleys in the Stone Forest is just like touring around the art museum. Countless stone peaks have sprung up from the ground, assuming a thousand different shapes, all fanciful and picturesque. Then take an afternoon flight to Lijiang and transfer you to the hotel. (B+L)
