Day 01: Arrival in Beijing

Welcome to China! Now you are landed at the Capital city of China - Beijing, the host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Refresh yourselves in the hotel to get prepared for the following classic tour.



Day 02: Beijing

First you will be guided to visit the Tiananmen Square, located in the center axis of Beijing City. Tiananmen was used to symbolize the uppermost royal powering ancient China. Now it becomes the landmark of Beijing, or symbol of China. Then turn to the biggest courtyard in Beijing, the Forbidden City. There with as many as 9,900 rooms unveil the daily luxurious life of China ancient Emperor. In the next destination, the Temple of Heaven, the guide will introduce the grand annual royal sacrificial activities for you. In the evening, the famous Beijing Duck Dinner and a lively Peking Opera performance will wait for you. (B+L+D)



Day 03: Beijing

The most highlight in Beijing comes to wander along the magnificent Great Wall. It is like a large dragon entrenched along the huge country. Badaling section is the most representative one and it will be your first choice. After witness this miracle made by ancient Chinese, you will be driven to a local famous restaurant with Sichuan cuisine to have lunch nearby Badaling. Continue to visit the Sacred Way and Ming Tomb. The last stop today is the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will have an overall view from outside. (B+L+D)

Differences
We will arrange an a la carte dinner at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area for the luxury series. While for the standard series, there is no special dinner arranged. You are suggested to explore the local flavor on your own.

Day 04: Beijing - Xian

This morning you will visit the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake. Then turn to the largest Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Beijing, the Lama Temple, which is also called Yonghegong Palace as it used to be the royal palace in Qing Dynasty. After lunch, take the afternoon flight to Xian, a favorable geographical location surrounded by water and hills. Pick you up at the airport and transfer to the well selected hotel. (B+L+D)

Differences
A buffet dinner in the hotel will be served for the Luxury Class. No dinner is scheduled for the Standard Class.



Day 05: Xian

In the morning, visit one of the Eighth Wonder of the World - Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Actually it can be considered as a huge underground Museum of Military and Amy in Qin Dynasty (246-209B.C). An a la carte Cantonese Cuisine lunch is served in a well selected restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Buddhist holy place of Da Ci'en Temple, where the Big Wild Goose Pagoda stands there for more than 1300 years. You can get a panoramic view of Xian from the pagoda. Then you will get to another historical site with over 600 years history, the City Wall, which is the most complete city wall to survive in China. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.(B+L+D)
 
Differences
For the Luxury Series, you will have Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show at Tang Dynasty Palace. For the Standard Series, you will enjoy Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show at Shaanxi Opera Theatre.


 Shanghai Yuyuan Garden



Day 06: Xian - Shanghai

Visit the Great Mosque, the center of Xian's sizeable Muslim community and a local family, which helps you know how local people live. After enjoying a delicious a la carte lunch at a local cuisine restaurant, you will be transferred to the airport to take a flight to the coastal metropolis Shanghai and transfer to hotel. (B+L)



Day 07: Shanghai

The full day tour covers all the highlights in Shanghai. First you will visit the Shanghai Museum, which boasts high reputation at home and abroad, as it stores abundant collections with great value for study and research. The next stop is the Yuyuan Garden. It is the must visit in Shanghai, as it is the only one well preserved ancient Garden in Ming Dynasty. In the afternoon, the activities are different as the following luxury and standard series shown. Tonight an a la carte farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. Your full day excursion will get to close by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)
 
Differences
After lunch, the clients of Luxury Class will be transferred you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Then leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. The clients of Standard Class will be taken to visit the Bund along the Huangpu River and the famous Nanjing Road, and then a local family visit is scheduled.



Day 08: Departure from Shanghai

According to your departure flight schedule, our guide will arrange the see off service properly. (B)
