Wuhan has a sub-tropical wet monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The city enjoys abundant rainfall, with an average annual rainfall of about 1,200 millimeters (47 inches). In winter, coldness penetrates every corner of the city. It is quite pleasant in spring and autumn, and the best time to visit Wuhan is March, April, September and October.
