As one of the three 'Furnace Cities' in China, it has an unbearably sultry and hot summer. Every summer, days with a temperature reaching over 40oC (104oF) number around a dozen. In winter, coldness penetrates every corner of the city. It is quite pleasant in spring and autumn, and the best time to visit Wuhan is March, April, September and October.
