1. In general me and my family found the time schedule for the activities included in the tour quite correct. However, we considered that in all the places the members of the group should be given small information pamphlets that can help them to decide which areas of an specific place they would like to expend the most time. In very few places we were given such information, perhaps the only one was at the Museum in Shanghai. Along the way we could appreciate how some other visitors did have such a valuable information, which is also very helpful to relate with the pictures taken afterwards.
2. The meal in general were good, however in some places like in Xian we were provided with much more information by the guide on what we were having and the importance and origin of the must important dishes. On the other side by the end of the tour people feel that the food have been somewhat repetitious, maybe because people are served a lot of dishes in one meal. We do believe that an effort could be done to make the food issue even more important and significant along the tour.
3. The Guides in general were good. However my family and I encountered in Mrs Echo, in Xian, an outstanding guide, with a lot of charm and wishes for us to get the most of our experience in China, besides her command of the English language is formidable.
4. The transportation facilities were very good and very well taken care of.
Sincerely

Yes, we enjoyed the cruise very much and all the arrangements worked very well. Your instructions were very useful to find the Victoria Queen in Yichang although perhaps for other customers you might like to mention that it is about 20k outside of the town. When the taxi driver told us this we, at first, thought that he was trying to cheat us so we called the boat to verify that it was so far away!
Regarding the cruise itself, everything was fine and we thought that it was good value for money. The only two suggestions for improvement would be:
Improve the quality of the Chinese food. The western food was fine but the Chinese food was too western! Chinese food is great and I am sure that the cooks can do it but perhaps have been told that westerners don't like it. Well, many do, and others would like to try normal Chinese food.
Have someone on the dock at Yichang to welcome customers to the boat. When we arrived there about 8:00 pm there was no one around outside the boat and I had to go down to the crew's quarters to find out where to go to and then it was quite difficult to find someone to help with the baggage. Getting off the boat on Chongqing was no problem.
The arrangements and organisation by you two was perfect and we would certainly use your services again. Thank you.

Hi, Kina and Eileen,
It was a wonderful trip. First, the guides contacted us or met us at the airport in a timely fashion. The guides did a very good job by showing us around. The guide at Dunghuang went up the Ming-Sha Shan with us and even helped us to carry baggage for us. The hotels in both Xian and Dunghuang offered good service, although we thought the Bell-Tower Hotel in Xian, which we stayed for additional nights, also a 4-star hotel, and conveniently located in the city center, provided better service.
The dumpling feast is quite unique. I am not sure the meal at Nong-Jia-Le in Dunghuang is to our taste. Since Dunghuang is noted for its agricultural products, perhaps a meal with local fresh vegetable and fruits would be more appropriate. The car service in both cities are quite satisfactory.
One thing I would recommend is that for those who visit Xian must watch the performance of ancient instruments and drums at Bell and Drum towers. Perhaps with more funding generated through more visitors, their performance would be more skillful.
I would recommend to those of my friends who like to have same kind of service. You can publish my comments on web provided you make sure that my name and web address are not published in any manner.
Thanks

We had a great time. I wished the rest of my family and friends could have experienced what we went through. They are very interested in doing the same tour based on our recommendation.
1. The meals were all very good. The restaurant choices were excellent. The Peking duck was wonderful although children may not like it as much. If it's not a big problem, an alternative to any one entree might be made available just in case other people are very particular.
2. As far as the tour guides, they were all very helpful and prompt. I wish Newman's English pronunciation was better. We would have enjoyed and learned more about Beijing. Tracy in Shanghai is the absolute best. I wished we had her in Beijing also. Her English is excellent and her attitude flawless. My wife wanted to see a particular store in Shanghai and she made every effort to make it happen. She even called the store a couple of times because it was difficult to find. She also gave us the option of shortening the river cruise to allow more time for shopping. She also lent us some money on the spot so we can buy the items until we were able to exchange our dollars. After the Acrobat show, I was surprised to see her so quickly as we stood up so she can guide us to our car.
3. The minivans were spacious and clean. The drivers were excellent. It would have been a bonus if the drinks provided were kept in a cooler. Cold water on hot days would have been awesome.
I was confused about the tipping part. It would have been nice to have some guidelines. The handbook that I bought mentioned that in China, tipping is not practiced unless in extreme circumstances. I did give a modest tip to the guides and drivers.
You may publish any part of these comments but don't include my e-mail address.

Nicole Yang/ Ruby Zhao,
Congratulations on a job well done. The trip was very well organized by you. Dave in Beijing, Echo in Xi'an and Grace taking us to the airport and helping me, Owen in Guilin & Yangshuo and Cindy in Shanghai did a great job. They were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot of Chinese history and customs. The hotels were very good. No complaints with the restaurants and the different shows. Enjoyed all different Chinese food in all nice restaurants, the only thing that was not good was the meal we had at the restaurant at the airport when we arrived in Xi'an. A better meal was going to be served if we ate at the hotel. Hopefully we will be in a position to visit China again. We will recommend your company to our friends and anyone who asks us.
Thank you again, John & Bessi Miliotis
