You will walk through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. After visiting the ornate Summer Palace on the shores of the immense Kunming Lake, you'll take the overnight soft sleeper train to Datong. (B+L)

 

Your local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Breakfast is served in the hotel. Our full day in Datong begins by going to the 1500-year old Yungang caves.  Later you will see two ancient Buddhist monasteries, the Huayuan and the Shanhua. Finally, you will stop at the Nine Dragon Wall, one of China's most famous spirit screens. (B+L)

 

Today you will see China's oldest surviving wooden pagoda, the Sakyamuni and the Hanging Monastery. Later, board the soft sleeper train to Beijing. (B+L)

 

Your local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Breakfast is served in the hotel. Today you will walk on the most visited segment of the Great Wall, Badaling. To avoid the tourist eateries at the Wall, you will be taken to a local popular Sichuan restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Ming Tomb. Tonight you will enjoy an a la carte dinner at a renowned Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing Street. (B+L+D)

 

This morning you will visit the Temple of Heaven. Then you will be transferred to the airport to board your departure flight. Your tour ends here. (B)
